Malone is indeed a colorful character who created a melting pot of hip hop, pop, R&B, and country music styles. Inspired by his disc jockey father who became a Dallas Cowboy's concessionaire, he went on to sell 80 million records and win 10 Billboard Music Awards. Meanwhile the sedate setting of Utah helps Malone keeps alcoholism in check. He expresses himself with 78 tattoos, some self-etched. Despite being rejected at his first audition due to a broken guitar string, Post plays on.
