Linda, a determined mother, faces the daily struggles of raising her son Ahmad amidst the unpredictable presence of her husband Jeremy. When a series of hardships push her to the edge, Linda's plea for assistance inadvertently leads to Ahmad being taken into CPS custody. In a desperate attempt to resolve the situation, Linda confronts her employer, resulting in her imprisonment and Ahmad's placement under the care of her sister-in-law Ebony who has had a major hand in helping her raise her son. Deprived of contact with Ahmad during her time incarcerated, Linda escapes prison driven by an unwavering resolve to reunite with him and confront those who have betrayed her.
