Aidan is in line for promotion in the Hampton department stores chain, but is worried when ordered by the managing owner Helen to prove himself by training spoiled brat Loryn. He's unaware she's Helen's incognito niece and potential successor, who must learn the trade or lose her huge inheritance, as the party animal is the only family member who never showed any business interest. Initially she drives him and deputy Freda to despair, with lax attitude, ignorance and clumsiness, but their sabotage attempts fail. Warned by Helen's PA Kevin aunt means business, she pulls up her socks and proves some out of the box thinking can also be beneficial. Aidan is furious again to discover her identity, but a 'helped' Christmas miracle undoing a crisis sorts it all out.
